Texas Potatoes 
 

2 lb. frozen hash browns
1 stick melted butter
¾ c. shredded cheese
½ c. Wheaties, crumbled
1 c. sour cream
4 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 can cream of chicken soup
salt & pepper to taste
1 med. onion, chopped
dash of garlic powder

Mix hash browns, cheese, sour cream, soup, onion, and seasonings to taste. Pour in 1 stick melted butter and mix well. In separate bowl, mix Wheaties and 4 Tbsp. melted butter. Place potato mixture in shallow baking dish and top with cereal mixture. Bake in 350-degree oven for 1 hour.
