Gathering (DOG) #4

Our fourth DOG was held May 21, 2005 at the Tillman B. Mc Henry Sr. Pavilion
in Deer Park.
We had decided to start early to beat the heat and have a brunch theme.
Brunch became lunch but it was good just the same. We had five families
cooking in ten Dutch ovens. The bunch of us
cooked French toast casserole, apple muffins, donut holes, hash brown
casserole, pigs in a blanket, fiesta bread, coffee cake, pan sausage,
cheese and garlic grits, and quiche. At meal time
we had seventeen folks there to eat. We also had seven people come by
to look around and visit.
After our meal we had a short meeting to plan the calendar for the next
year. Included in the calendar are dates, places, and cooking themes.
Our next DOG will be September 25, 2005
in Deer Park 1 pm to 6 pm, with a potluck theme.
