On Sunday February 26, 2006 the Seabreeze Chapter held a Chili DOG in Deer Park. Attendance was low because we had to move the scheduled DOG back a week to keep from having a chilly, chili DOG. The one week delay brought wonderful weather for getting outside but conflicted with some members' schedules. However if we would have stuck to the original date, attendance would have likely been zero, just a little lower than the temperature of the originally scheduled day.

We had three familes cooking in seven ovens for a total of 15 people present at meal time. We had some interested visitors that will hopefully come back and cook with us. All three cooks made a pot of chili. The Butlers made two pots of chili, a five meat chili and a white chicken chili. The white chicken chili stole the show. Everyone thought it was great. In addition to the chili the Butlers made rice, the Busos made cornbread, and the Gidneys made anadama bread. It was a good afternoon in the park.

Our next DOG will be 3-19-06 with an Irish theme, make it green!! We'll see you there. You won't want to miss this one.
