Conclave 2003 was crazy, insane, out of control, gnarly, tubular, way cool, freaky, tripped out and outstanding. I dunno how else to describe it, but WOW! It's obvious SR-2 is the best section in the Nation, because I didn't meet a person not having fun. From the all day events, to the jokes and watergun fights at 2 a.m. in the dooms. PURE FELLOWSHIP! All weekend I walked up to random Arrowmen and said, "Hey! How's it goin'? Where ya from?" No matter where they were from, it was the same answer . . . AWESOME! Ani-Lati folks were having all kinda fun as well: from the Pow-Wow, to the drumming and singing competition, or the ceremony competitions. Classes were in the morning along with really cool events all day long: Arrowman's Discovery, Arrowman's Bash and Shows with Andy Chapman hosting "Name That Tune"!
Next year Conclave will be held out Sam Houston Area Council's new Scout Resort; Bovay from March 19-21, 2004. It's our home turf so we've got to show up in droves. We all had a great time, and we hope more Ani-Lati members can come on out next year!
