be a drum available for singing and you can always feel free to dance.

Coming Events
Chapter meetings are
held the 2nd Sunday evening of each month. We start at 6 pm and run until
8:30 pm. Much like your troop meetings, these chapter meetings are to
prepare for the next event or project. If you are an OA Troop Rep. your responsibility
to attend these meetings to stay current on what is going on in the Chapter
and Lodge so you can share that with the OA members in your unit. As an OA
Troop Rep. or an adult OA member you should encourage the OA members in your
unit to attend these meetings and events with you. Hope to see you at the
next meeting.
The following events are some of the
events that you should be promoting in your home troop:
December 6th Crew 408
and Ani-Lati Chapter is having a Native American Pow Wow. The information
along with contact information and a map are on the web site.
December 13th David
Hinds Leadership Training. This is training for youth and adults put on by
the lodge. As more information is available it will be posted on the web
site.
January 10th Lodge
Awards Banquet. All OA members and their family or date are encouraged to
attend this annual event. As more information is available it will be posted
on the web site.
March 19-21 Section SR-2
Conclave. FUN, FOOD, and FELLOWSHIP, enough said!!!! This year conclave will
be held at Camp Bovay. This is the first time since 1969 that our conclave
has been held at a Scout camp instead at a university campus. Because of the
location of the Conclave, Colonneh Lodge will be the host lodge for
this event. The date is the same as when Spring Fellowship is normally held
so there will be no Colonneh Lodge Spring Fellowship this year. This is a
great event and every Arrowman should plan to attend. Any questions about
Section Conclave should be directed to Karl Paulissen colonnehraven137@hotmail.com .
This will be his second year as competition CVC and he is kept current
on conclave news. Information will be on the website when it becomes
available. Also, you can go to www.ani-lati.org/e-newsletter/
and signup for the SR-2 e-newsletter to keep up-to-date information as it's
happening.
April 2-4 Native
American Weekend. This is an OA event hosted by the Lodge's Indian Events
Committee that can be attended by non OA members. All adult Scouters, Boy
Scouts, and Ventures (sorry no Cub Scouts) are welcome to
attend. In past years some troops have made this a troop camp-out. During
the day there are craft classes, the Indian Lore Merit Badge, ceremony
classes for OA members, and much more. Meals are served in the dining hall.
The evening is a Native American Pow Wow.
April 24 Scout Fair
April 30-May 2 Bayshore
District Boy Scout Camporee. Held this year at Camp Brosig. Call out will
held for candidates elected in 2004.
These dates will let you begin to plan
your calendar. As more information becomes available we will get it to you
at chapter meetings, on the web site, or in this news letter.
Web Site
Nelson Carter and Bob Gidney have committed to keep
current information on our website. Check it often, better yet make it your
home page. Stay informed on what is happening in your chapter and district.
See you at the next event or meeting,
Karl Paulissen
